A Message From The Board of Fire Commissioners and the Fire Chief

The NVFD serves Nokomis, Laurel, South Osprey and all of Casey Key. There are cost benefits of having a volunteer fire department in the fact that we are NOT funded by your property tax! Yearly fire dues are our main source of funding. We are a full service agency that responds to medical emergencies, structure fires, wild-land fires, motor vehicle accidents and fire alarms in our service area. Please visit our website at www.nokomisvfd.com to learn more about us.

If you live in our service area, consider this an invitation to get to know us better and visit one of your fire stations and meet your crew.  If you belong to a property owners association, we would be honored to send a department representative to your next association meeting to describe the capabilities of the Nokomis Volunteer Fire Department and to hear your comments and or concerns.

We thank all of our citizens for their continuing support. Please talk with your neighbors and urge them to join with you in supporting your Nokomis Volunteer Fire Department. We are currently accepting applications for 3 Board of Commissioner seats for fiscal years 2023 and 2024.

Our pledge is to continue to serve this great community with Pride, Commitment and Loyalty, as we have for the past 70 Years.

Your prompt attention to this request is greatly appreciated.

For your convenience you can pay on line by clicking the “Pay Dues Button” above. Thank You in Advance for your Support !
